Hello, I'm Michelle! Welcome to Speechie Mama Co. If you're here for simple and interactive ways to boost language skills while adventuring with your kids, you're in the right place.

I've been a speech-language pathologist for the past 12 years and still get excited about the miracle of communication. I love watching my toddler learn to manipulate language and make it meaningful. After having my second daughter, I knew I wanted to be primarily home with my girls while they are young. Speechie Mama Co combines my desire to adventure with my children and build stronger language and social skills along the way.

People often ask me if I use my profession in my day-to-day life. All. The. Time. I love being at the zoo (or on a hike, or visiting a museum etc) and being able to bring up topics or questions in a natural way that will get my child talking. I will share the knowledge and resources I've gathered while working for the last decade to help parents and caregivers provide strong language models for their children and support them in their social growth and development.
